Martin Blume

Marty was a half-time professor at Stony Brook during the years 1973-76.  When Brookhaven began to build the National Synchrotron Light Source, he resigned from the Stony Brook faculty in order to spend more time at Brookhaven.  After serving as Interim Director of the Light Source, he became Deputy Director of the Laboratory.  In 1997 he stepped down from this position and became Editor-in-Chief of the APS journals.
